BYU or UTAH??

I wanted to do something fun this month in the cafeteria for the kids. I usually decorate each month with whatever holiday is going to be happening. But since October is Halloween and Autumn items, I wanted to switch November up a little bit. So I did the whole wall in BYU vs Utah because of the rivalry game that happens in November. The kids are loving it and I am happy to have something different up on the walls to look at. We even got Heather (head of school) to agree to let the kids wear BYU or Utah colored shirts on Friday expressing their love for one team or the other. We also put red and blue paper on the door to the kitchen so that all week during lunch the kids can sign their name to cheer for one team or the other. Lyndie, who works in the kitchen, is from a family of Ute fans and I am from a family of BYU fans so we are going to dress appropriately all week long. It is going to be great!

An added bonus is that we can learn and practice these IB Attitudes:

Tolerance; (for Ute fan's bad attitudes and bad habits of wrecking things when they lose games)

Empathy; (for Ute fans when they lose the game)

Independence; when choosing the team that we like, not just because our parents told us that one was better then the next

Respect; for everyone despite their love of the Utah Utes

It should be a fun week... even if BYU loses!
