Diet Food

So I have been trying this diet (I will not give a name) and it has actually been working really well. I get to eat things like chicken, fish (YUCK!!) veggies and fruit. While being on this diet I have kicked my 3-4 Diet Cokes a day habit, my Gobstopper fetish, and my all around snacky lifestyle.
I was doing great on the diet until I decided to make this:

The color should have told me something. All I can say is NASTY!!! Lewis thought that it wasn't that bad, but the texture was so gross that I had to spit it out and just go hungry until the evening. It was a recipe that I found online. Everyone that had tried it said that it was so good. It was like cheating on their diets. I was all for that one because when you can only have the few types of food that I have been eating, you will try anything for a change. Well I tell you what, those people online, they lied. Basically it is a creamy chicken with celery soup. Sounds good, but it is not. From now on, when a recipe says to "grind the chicken with the veggies until smooth", I will hit delete and move on. Trust me, you do not want this recipe. :)

What is this going to cost me?

$27.00 A month
$100.00 for warmup outfit
$75.00 costume fee
$40.00 recital fee...

All for a ballerina who may or may not want to be here. The things we do for our kids. :)

My Budding Photog...

The other day I was cleaning out my camera. You know, going through and deleting all of the photos that are blurry, or that I took two of to make sure that I had a good one. As I was looking through them I saw these:

You got to love Abigail! I actually LOVE the one that she took of herself. She loves to take pictures. She had taken 83 of them. These are the two that I kept. I think that it is funny that she likes to take pictures of toilets. Oh well, like I said, you got to love Abigail!

And We All Fall Down!!

A few weeks ago we had Lewis' sister and her family in town for a visit. On Saturday we decided to take all of the kids to Cowabunga Bay for the afternoon. It was a very windy day but it did not seem any more windy then most of the other days here.
When we got home, I walked in and Adam was freaking out. He had been trying to call and text me while we were at the pool but I had left my phone in the car. That when he tells me that a branch of the big tree has fallen in the wind! So we all run out to the backyard to see the damage. He said that he actually watched it fall. He said that he was watching t.v. and what looked like a flock of birds (not uncommon for our yard) was swoping down from the tree and landing on the yard. But when he looked closer it was pieces of wood falling from the tree. Just then the branch fell and shattered. These are the biggest pieces left of the branch. It was very large. The biggest piece is about 13 feet long easily 4-5 feet around. The smaller piece by the kids is only 6 feet long and 2 feet around. Luckily nobody was out there playing. The kids were all freaked out. Lewis and the boys cleaned it up and moved the logs into the woods behind our yard. Needless to say it ripped up a bunch of the yard so now we are trying to grow more grass. Hopefully the rest of the branches stay put!

Annual Day Before School Breakfast

I guess it was a little sunny. Oops!

Adam and Cooper both declined to come this year. They must be getting older! At least the girls had a good time in their fancy skirts. (Yes there was an actual call to set up the matchy outfits. I totally remember doing that when I was little.) And Cash and Jason are always happy when they are together. As for M.R. and myself, a quiet little breakfast once a year is always nice.

Too Smart

So right before school started for the year Jason needed to get his Mohawk touched up so that he would look good for the ladies. While we were there the girls decided that they needed their hair cut too. Here is the problem: I am trying to get their hair to grow out. All last year they had short hair and I miss being able to do cute styles so I want them to grow it out. Plus it will not be much longer before I do not really have a say in their hair so while I do have a say I would like it a little longer. :)
So I told the girls yeas and then told the ladies to just barely trim them. I did not want to loose any length. So when they were done Haley was very happy but Abigail knew that her hair was exactly the same. OOPS!! I have a smart one on my hands. So she went home crying and asking for shorter hair. Oh well. We can't win them all.
