Cheer and Tumbling Camp

Abi participated in a cheer/tumbling camp. This was her group of 7&8 year old girls. She came home every night very tired and complained that it was so hard and it was a lot of work. But every morning she got up early and got ready, made her lunch and pushed through. She did great! She learned a lot! She had a lot of fun!

This is her coach. She also does Abi's private lessons.

More Camping

Two days after we got back from camping with cousins Lewis took Jason and Haley out to another campsite for the night. They fished and played cards.

There was a nest in their campsite:

He got Jason to smile and actually be in a picture:

It was a nice campground. I like the fire pit:

Camping With Cousins

Right after I got back from my St. George trip we all went camping with my brother Sam, his wife Erin and their kids. Sam brought his boat and we brought the dog. We had fires and they fished and we sat in the sun. I decided to come home a night early due to the lack of bathrooms and showers. Jason was done and so was the dog so the three of us came home late Saturday night and left the rest of them to tough out one more night.

It was a great trip. Fighting was slim to none with the kids and there was no drama. The only thing I would have liked was to have a bathroom with running water.

Moving Day

This blog post is set to come out on July 12, 2013. As this post is posting we will be loading the moving truck and cleaning out the house that we have lived in for the past 4 years. I know that 4 years is not a long time. But almost 13 years is a long time, and that is how long we have been living in Utah. For a kid that grew up moving every two to three years my whole life 13 years is a loooong time.
Wish us luck, I hope that the loading of the truck and the cleaning of the house goes smoothly. I hope that the kids can understand and accept the move. I hope that they make new friends and meet new people and see that the world is really big and become the open-minded, understanding, accepting people that I am teaching them to be. I hope I can survive this move with my sanity. I hope that I can survive this move married. Wish me luck :)

Gymnastics Privates

Abi is taking private tumbling lessons with her friend this summer. One day a week they get to go and giggle and flip around. Her teacher is the cutest girl ever! Abi is loving it! Anything that keeps her busy and that she doesn't complain about is golden in my eyes!

Girls Trip to St. George

I went to St. George right after school ended with three of my girlfriends. I don't want to show many pictures because I have an idea for something I am making and I don't want to ruin the surprise. Here are a couple just as a teaser.

Last Day of School and Work

I have not written about our pending move yet, but now is as good a time as any. We are moving! It is so not a surprise to most of you (or any of you really... does anyone even read this anymore?). Lewis received a promotion about 9 months ago and started working from home. He is working for the same company but he now has his own area which is located in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia.

So after working at Channing for over 7 years this was finally my last official day of work. I had Lyndie (my lunch lady turned replacement) take some pictures of me at my desk and with my action figure. It was a surreal moment, turning in my keys, passing my computer on, and washing my hands clean of all of the stress and worry that this job has brought into my life. I fell into this job and was given the responsibility and I feel like I did my best.

Here is Abi with her teacher. Melissa taught not only Abi but also Haley and Jason. Having the same teacher 3 times has been amazing. Abi had a great year!

Abi with some of the girls in her class. Cute girls!

It is crazy to think that our time at Channing Hall has come to an end. On to new adventures!

Jump Rope Club

Abi participated in a jump rope club at the end of the year at school. They practiced once a week and put together a routine for the parents to see.

She enjoyed herself and got a little exercise in the process. We are going to miss these fun little activities at school.

Hiking Doughnut Falls

As you can see there was still a lot of snow up there. It started out really cold but by the time we were walking back the sun came out and it got very warm.

Everyone had a good time and I just think we might go hike again soon.
