Girls Only Trip To Las Vegas

As the Spring came flying toward us this year I knew that I needed to start planning my annual treks to Vegas. Last year I managed to go 6 times in 6 months. Not bad if I do say so myself. So trip #1 was quickly planned and set into motion. A 1st ever Girls (Adult Only) trip to Vegas.

We planned on leaving early Friday morning and somehow my mom and I were talking on Thursday at school and it was decided that we needed to leave Thursday night. So we set the plan to leave at 6pm and drive till we hit Nevada. It pretty much worked out as planned. We left a little late but we made it to Nevada  by 11:30 their time. We checked into the only hotel available and set for bed. I was pleasantly surprised to find these:

Everything is sanitized in between people. If you know me then you know I LOVE this!!!!
After staying up and talking for a few hours my sister-in-law, "E" fell asleep and I watched some television, using the sanitized remote :)
We got up early when my phone started beeping text messages from my man. Once awake, better get up. Showered, dressed and on our way. We hit our resort at noon and they let us check in early. Seeing as we were about 6 hours earlier then we thought we would be, we took the afternoon to shop the outlets. Here I am with a plus sized plastic bust:

What? I was waiting for my mom to try on clothes and she is very slow. You are lucky I did not post the picture of my accosting the plastic bust...

After shopping and spending we went to see our first show, Menopause. My mom loved it. She laughed and laughed and laughed. I thought it was funny too, we all did. But the funny thing was, I was about 30 years younger than anyone else in the place. Go figure :)

Here we are waiting for the show to begin. The show was in The Luxor. Nice place to visit, I would NEVER want to stay there.
"E", "M", and Me

After the show we ate inside of Mandalay Bay and then headed back to the resort. The next day we got up, Mom, "E", and I went to the gym while "M" did some work, we went to the store (I was out of Diet Coke!!!) and then hit the pool.

Here is the DJ from the pool. He looked just like Jason Statham (Transporter, Safe). I was obsessed.

Can you say yum?

Okay anyways, after staying at the pool most of the day, eating lunch, and riding the lazy river for an hour (yes, I did get wet) we left mom at the hotel and we went and shopped some more.

After shopping we got ready to go out to dinner.

We went to The Venetian, ate and then walked slowly to the show.

We went to see Blue Man Group. It was very fun and interactive. I think we all had a great time!

After the show we did a little shopping and headed back to go to bed. I don't think mom has stayed up that late ever in her life :)

The next morning we checked out, made some exchanges on items bought the day before and headed to Bellagio for breakfast buffet. We also wanted to watch the fountain and see the flowers in the lobby.

I thought this was so funny. This little Asian couple was taking pictures with their I-Pad. While he had a camera around his neck....

After breakfast and the fountain we got into the car and headed home. All in all it was a fun trip. A few snags  along the way but we made it home safe and sound. Maybe next year we go to Mexico???
