Dying Of The Eggs

As is done in most houses in America, we dyed Easter Eggs this year. The boys decided that they are too old for this silly tradition and opted out. (On a side note, should I let them opt out of these things? I always wanted to do the silly little holiday things like dying eggs, gingerbread houses and such. Should I make them do it, or let them be grumpy Scrooges?)

The girls had a great time. They got all of the colors ready in cups and boiled the eggs themselves. Once the eggs cooled we set out to work.

They used rubber bands for white stripes, crayon, double dipping, stickers and more to make all of the designs in their heads.

This is what we ended up with in the end. The girls had a fun hour and I got to spend the rest of the day cleaning up :)
