Jason Turns 10!!!

Jason turned 10 last week. He got a Bop It, a $10 gift card to I-Tunes for his new I-Touch, a Lego set, a Target GC for $25 and a bag full of his favorite items, including a giant sausage. We also had a cheesecake. I will never understand Jason and Lewis' obsession with cheese and sausage. They are two peas in a pod for sure.

New Years Eve

Abigail played the computer...
Lewis, Haley and I watched Lord of the Rings...
And Adam had friends over and they put off some fireworks in the street...

That's right! We Frampton's can get pretty crazy!

"Every single time I come here I am reminded as to why I hate it."

It was Christmas vacation. They pulled us in by advertising with the Deal of the Day. It was half price for 3 hours. They gave you a bonus of all you can drink soda, 50 tokens, 100 tickets, free glow in the dark flashy thing, and 3 hours of all of the activities. The kids were tired of being home so we went for the day.
They drank the soda:

They played the games:
They seemed to have a great time:
They even skated:

As Lewis and I held our breath and smiled at the kids, we both knew that despite our hatred for this place the children still enjoyed coming. Hopefully someday they will see what we see and understand what we understand. Until then I will hold my breath and carry Clorox wipes.

I Hate...

Before I even start I need to just put this out there.
If you know me well, or know me at all, you know that I dislike messy toy/activity things. I hate things like play dough, paint, glue; anything wet, smelly, dirty and not easy to use. So why is it that people insist on giving my children these type of gifts.
Haley had a birthday party in October and she was given SEVERAL "kits" from friends. Gluey, stringy, small pieces with paint, ribbons, beads and anything else you can think of.
When you give someone one of these "kits" you are not giving the child a project you are giving me a project. I DO NOT want your project!! Please hear my plea! I am not trying to be ungrateful, not at all. Thank you for wanting to give my child a gift. But I have some much better ideas then the crafty "kit" things. How about socks? We love socks at our house, and guess what... they take no glue, string, safety scissors or paint. They are practical, and useful. Oh! And another good thing about socks...they cost like $1 for a pair.
Wait! Jason just said what about a sock puppet... okay, just don't give us gifts.
And onto the real post...
For Haley's birthday she was given a "kit" for dying shirts. I tried to hide the kit and managed to do so for about 2 months. Then she found it. Haley shared nicely with Abigail and hey each made a shirt.

They had so much fun! Did you know that this type of "project" takes about 12-15 hours to complete? No, neither did I. But we got it done and the shirts turned out very cute! Plus the girls had a great time doing it.

Reindeer

We had some visitors again this Christmas visit our yard. Santa always sends reindeer to visit us on Christmas. Sorry about the line across the face. He was standing behind the zip line.
